First Minnesota Bank and Professional Insurance Providers had a challenge this year to see which could raise the most money for the Walk to End Alzheimers. The challenge wrapped up Friday with a pie-throwing party, in which each $100 donation entitled a person to toss a whipped cream pie on the participant of their choice. Gary Holmgren ponied up $100 for the opportunity to smear a little pie on Terry Jones’ mug. The bank raised $2,465.72, and Professional Insurance Providers raised $2,974.76.
