Planning Commission recommends minor subdivision ordinance for city
The city of Glencoe Planning Commission sent a recommendation to the City Council to approve a new minor subdivision ordinance.
Assistant City Attorney Mark Ostlund presented the proposed ordinance to the planning commission on Thursday, Dec. 8.
Ostlund said the goal of the new ordinance is to simplify real estate transactions within the city.
The request for the new ordinance stemmed from the sale of a parcel of land that was recently sold in the newly formed industrial park on the west end of the city.
When the city purchased the land, it was platted in two large lots with the idea that they would be sold in smaller lots.
