Playoff time for 5102

With four wins over its final five regular-season matchups, the Glencoe VFW Post 5102 baseball team is locked and loaded for the playoffs, which begin this week.
Four victories against neighboring opponents were only mildly tarnished by a 5-4 loss at Maple Plain on Monday, July 6.
“I would have said before last night we have been playing really good ball, so hopefully it was just a little bump in the road and we will be ready to go on Thursday,” coach Dave Sell said regarding Monday’s final-inning setback in relation to the opening of the subdistrict tournament.
Before hitting the “bump in the road,” Glencoe rolled through four victories buoyed by a quartet of complete-game pitching performances from Peyton Sell, Taylor Schauer, Mitchell Boesche and Luke Frahm.
