Royals top GSL gymnasts

n its final meet before the holidays, the Glencoe-Silver Lake gymnastics team came up short against a talented Watertown-Mayer/Mound-Westonka squad last Tuesday, Dec. 21.
Winning all four events, the Royals topped the Panthers, 140.5 to 122.925.
“I think they did a great job in our home meet with Watertown-Mayer/Mound-Westonka,” said GSL coach Kim Hahn. “Our goal was to hit new season highs as a team as well as individual goals on their events.”

Record-breakers
The Panthers recently enjoyed two record-breaking performances.
In the Dec. 16 meet at Rockford, Addison Graupmann broke school records of 8.575 on the balance beam set by Ashley Petersen and Marissa Greeley.
