Silver Lake Council looks at $7.5 million in improvements
The Silver Lake City Council met with John Rodeberg, Jordan Van Oort and Jeff Ledin from the engineering firm of Short Elliot and Hendrickson Inc. (SEH) to prioritize the city’s capital improvement projects in a workshop Monday, July 8.
Rodeberg, Van Oort and Ledin gave each council member a survey prior to the meeting to rate what they felt as the top priorities for the city. The city council will continue discussions on possible projects later this summer.
Projects listed on the survey included: Infrastructure improvements (water, sewer, storm sewer lines), the Cleveland Avenue lift station replacement, water tower replacement, water treatment, waste water treatment facility improvements, municipal facilities, industrial park development, trail and highway crossing upgrades.
The top five ranking projects were deemed the priorities. Infrastructure improvements, the Cleveland Avenue lift station replacement, water tower replacement, water treatment, and waste water treatment facility improvements were at the top of the list.
