SL planning commission to conduct citywide surveys
The Silver Lake planning commission is set to deliver door-to-door surveys to residents beginning Sept. 20 through Oct. 6.
The citywide survey is designed to help the planning commission determine if the city of Silver Lake is achieving goals outlined in the comprehensive plan and to help the city council prepare the 2015 budget.
According to City Clerk Kerry Venier, the survey will focus on specific subjects, including residential development, commercial development and housing rehabilitation.
Other areas of the survey will ask for information concerning city services, such as the swimming pool, police, fire and ambulance, and more.
