St. Pius X’s parish priest wants faithful to remember what matters most
He doesn’t want people to fret over his farewell. He’d prefer parishioners and all the folks he prayed with and cared for would focus on the lessons he delivered based on the scripture lessons more so than his looming departure from Glencoe.
That’s the way the Rev. Tony Stubeda, who has served parishioners at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Glencoe and the faith community that includes Holy Family in Silver Lake and Holy Trinity in Winsted for 13 years, would like it. He doesn’t care for goodbyes. People, and relationships, matter to him. At 61, the Litchfield native has served the church in several locations within the New Ulm Diocese over the years. In addition to parish work, he’s served as director of development and Hispanic ministries before coming to Glencoe.
