Stephanie Jo Torgerson Sipprell, 58, of Eden Prairie, died peacefully at her home on May 5, 2018.
The memorial service will be Saturday, May 19, at 11 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 16515 Luther Way, Eden Prairie. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. that day, at the church.
Stephanie Sipprell was born May 12, 1959. At the age of 5, her family moved to Glencoe. She graduated from Glencoe High School with the class of 1977. She then attended Augsburg College, where she graduated with a major in mathematics in 1981. She spent most of her career as a software developer and an IT business analyst with Cargill, Inc.
She married Brian Sipprell and they had two children, Steve, born in 1988, and Hannah, born in 1990. She met Margaret Byrne in 1997, and they eventually married in August 2017. In 2001, they had a son, Sean.
Ms. Sipprell loved playing all sports, especially basketball and softball. She coached her sons’ basketball and baseball teams, which she loved. She also was very enthusiastic about Boy Scouts, and was a summer camp director. Troop 347 became a second family to her.
She is survived by her spouse, Margaret Byrne; children, Steve Sipprell, Hannah (Matt) Noll and Sean Byrne; grandson, Brayden Noll; mother, Arlene Torgerson; sister, Anne (Les) Aune; loving nieces; half-siblings, Dan (Laurie) Torgerson and Lori (Joel) Torgerson-Cockram; other relatives and many friends.
Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Boy Scout Troop 347.
