Track teams host Invite

A windy, sunny day greeted the competitors as the Glencoe-Silver Lake track and field teams hosted their annual invitational meet on Tuesday, May 7. The Panther girls finished first, while the boys finished second.
Rhyan Herrmann won a pair of individual events, taking the top spot in the 100- and 200-meter dash in respective times of 12.78 and 27.45 seconds. She also took second in the high jump with a leap of four feet, eight inches.
Malayh Metcalf won the 800-meter run in a time of two minutes, 34.82 seconds, while Kendall Guerrero (6:01.76) and Maddie Lemke (6:04.46) placed 1-2 in the 1,600-meter run. Lemke (13:15.35), Majkya Metcalf (13:45.23) and Kendra Klobe swept the top three spots, respectively, in the 3,200-meter run.
