Winsted man faces charges in Saturday vehicle accident

A Winsted man is facing charges of criminal vehicular operation and driving while intoxicated after a two-vehicle accident near Winsted late Saturday afternoon.
The accident was reported at 4:24 p.m., and occurred in the area of 230th Street and Cable Avenue, southwest of Winsted.
Arrested was Jacob Krueger, 30, of Winsted.
Involved were a 2013 Mercedes Benz C300, driven by Rachel Donnay, 29, of St. Louis Park, and a 1993 Chevrolet GM4, driven by Krueger. A passenger in the Krueger vehicle was taken by Ridgeview Ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Responding to the accident were the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, officers from the Lester Prairie, Silver Lake and Winsted police departments, the Winsted and Lester Prairie First Responders, Ridgeview Ambulance and Minnesota State Patrol.
