Women escape from roof of burning house
A fire erupted and destroyed a New Auburn house Tuesday, July 28, around 11:25 p.m.
The house, located at 7488 Seventh Ave., was divided into three apartments, and two of the units were occupied at the time of the fire. Five adults and five children were living there, but no one sustained serious injuries.
One of these apartments was an upstairs unit, and the residents of that one needed help getting out. They managed to escape the flames and get on the roof.
