Resident interested in purchasing forfeited auction parcels requested assessment forgiveness posted on the properties. Upon purchase, resident needs to return to Council with plans and timelines of intent. If timelines are met, Council will forgive the assessments and if not, assessments will be reinstated.
Midway apartment residents are concerned with no parking ordinance. Clerk to check with Midway Administration for options and report back in December.
Bayley Schluter (MCHP) updated that Brownton and McLeod West High School memorabilia will be catalogued separately by Makayla Elder to include conservation and archival tips.
Rodeberg reported 2018 Infrastructure Project plans are being reviewed by RD and will be returned by Thanksgiving. If all goes as planned, bids will be awarded in February.
Repair Order at 204 1st Avenue South has expired; the permission to execute the motion for summary enforcement of the order has been approved. Trial date will be requested by City Attorney.
Public Works report was reviewed. Included were a request for a new Locator, RS Fiber Concerns (landscaping issues, PD building rent, PD doors left unlocked), water valve issues and sludge hauling Thursday.
Chief Bauer reported emergency lights and tail light on squad were replaced. Warnings have been issued for winter street parking. Repossessed cars in WW fence need to be dispositioned; Bauer addressing with City Attorney.
2018 Assessment Agreement was reviewed and approved.
Approved resolution to certify unpaid bills to 2018 tax roll.
Approved resolution to designate polling place for 2018 election.
Community Center project ideas include replacing doors, wash basin repair in utility room, replace stools and urinals get bids for refacing cupboards/doors and resurface or replace kitchen counter, strip/rewax floors.
Approved resolution to increase 2018 water base rate from $12.50 to $15.00/month and sewer base rate from $16.00 to $18.50/month.
Council approved a 2% city employee increase beginning January 1, 2018.
Correspondence: Tony Ashwill expressed interest in future property expanse, Legion Auxiliary requested a flagpole west of the Community Center, discussion regarding development of the Streich property.
