It was frigid, windy and snowy Saturday afternoon, but that didn’t keep anglers away from the Brownton Rod & Gun Club’s annual ice fishing contest on Lake Marion. Those who didn’t care to brave the ice had chances at prizes in the clubhouse. Among the big-prize winners were Connie Dahl, Hutchinson, Ice Castle fish house (Lake Marion Edition); Merv Gifferson, Glencoe, Arctic Cat ATV; Joel Reiner, Buffalo Lake, Aluma trailer; and Tom Halvorson, Hutchinson, John Deere D140 lawn tractor.
