Pamela Anne Schwarze, 60, of Brownton, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson with the Rev. Jon Lindekugel officiating. Bev Wangerin was the organist. Soloist Kim Bergman performed “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong. The congregational hymn was “I’ll Fly Away.”
Pamela Anne Schwarze was born Oct. 27, 1957, in Bloomington, the daughter of Jim and Maureen (Reilly) Hokanson. She was baptized as an infant and was confirmed in her Catholic faith as a youth. She received her education in Bloomington and was a graduate of the Bloomington Kennedy High School class of 1975. She resided in Ramsey before moving to Brownton.
On Oct. 27, 2007, she was united in marriage to Jeff Schwarze at Christ The King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. The couple lived in rural Brownton and resided there the past 13 years. They shared 10 years of marriage.
Pam had her own karaoke business and loved to sing at local establishments and events. She also was employed with the Minnesota License Family Childcare Association (MLFCA) for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
She enjoyed going to concerts, listening to music and going to the casinos. She loved the time spent at their lake home at Cross Lake. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Schwarze of Brownton; children, Trisha Struwve of St. Cloud, Allan (Tran) Struwve of Coon Rapids and Anthony Struwve of Big Lake; grandchildren, Cate, Kayleigh, LuLu, Kellan, Kiki, Layla, Logan and Colby; sister, Barb (Bill) Taylor of Andover; stepmother, Sandra Hokanson of Richfield; mother-in-law, Ruth Schwarze of Hutchinson; sisters-in-law, Roxanne Hill of Simi Valley, California, Kathleen (Paul) Skarvan of Elk Mound, Wisconsin, June (Scott) Johnson of Chaska and Kimberly (Mike) Bergman of New Hope; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Hokanson; mother, Maureen Goihl; brothers, Howard Hokanson and Jerry Hokanson; and sister, Patricia Hokanson in infancy.
