The Silver Lake City Council established a park and recreation after-hours permit and waiver at its meeting on Monday.
The action came after the Silver Lake Civic Association requested permission to hold its annual appreciation weekend, which includes camping, in the park near the pool.
The council approved the request at the February meeting, with the condition that a permit and waivers would be established and signed.
City ordinance does not allow activity in city parks after 10 p.m.
The permit limits the number of campers in the park and can only be obtained through city council approval. A release of liability form was also established and approved at the meeting. The form must be signed by all adults releasing the city liability for the event.
