The Glencoe Rotary Club recently planted trees at the school. The Lion’s Club donated playground equipment at Oak Leaf Park.
The Brownton Lions Club gave money for AEDs and playground equipment.
It seems like an organization is at just about every Silver Lake City Council meeting presenting a donation.
The Lions Clubs, American Legions, Auxiliaries, VFW give a lot to our communities, school groups and other local organizations.
These are just a very few examples, we cannot begin to name everything our groups do.
Each one of our communities, county and school district are so fortunate for the great people who give their time and resources for the betterment of our kids.
On top of the community organizations, our local churches continue to do great things locally and beyond.
We are so fortunate to have these groups that work for the betterment of our parks, schools and overall communities.
Not a part of one of the many local organizations. Feeling left out?
Why not join an organization? Most are always welcoming new members!
Next time an organization holds a fundraiser, attend. Bid on a silent auction item, buy a raffle ticket.
Let a member of the organization know how you appreciate all they do to make our communities as great as they are.
