Commissioners Nagel, Pohlmeier, Krueger, and Wright were present.
Kureger moved, Shimanski seconded, and motion carried unanimously to approve the agenda as revised.
Pohlmeier moved, Shimanski seconded, and motion carried unanimously to approve the consent agenda including January 22, 2019 County Board Meeting Minutes; January 18, 2019 Auditor’s Warrants; January 25, 2019 Auditor’s Warrants; Agreement extension, to 12/31/2020, for the McLeod/Carver Household Hazardous Waste reciprocity agreement; a 1-Lot Preliminary Plat by Anthony & Jessica Norem to be known as “Norem Addition”; Highway Right of Way Plat 67 for the reconstruction project on County State Aid Highway 15 (Morningside) in Glencoe.
Wright moved, Pohlmeier seconded, and motion carried unanimously to approve the purchase of a 2019 Ford F-150 4x4 super cab from Midway Ford (Roseville, MN) for $26,796.92 (state contract) plus applicable tax/license with funding coming from the Public Works 2019 budget.
Shimanski moved, Krueger seconded, and motion carried unanimously to approve the purchase of a 2019 Ford F-150 4x4 super cab from Midway Ford (Roseville, MN) for $26,681.92 (state contract) plus applicable tax/license with funding coming from the Public Works 2019 budget.
Pohlmeier moved, Shimanski seconded, and motion carried unanimously to approve the purchase of a 2019 Ford F-150 4x4 super cab from Midway Ford (Roseville, MN) for $31,702.92 (state contract) plus applicable tax/license with funding coming from the Public Works 2019 budget.
Wright moved, Pohlmeier seconded, and motion carried unanimously to accept a $20,000 Minnesota Local Road Research Board (LRRB) OPERA Grant for evaluation of the County Road 54 chip seal surfaced cement stabilized base project.
Wright moved, Shimanski seconded and motion carried unanimously to authorize the Public Works Director/County Engineer to sign grant agreement for OPERA Project No. 2019-02 (Evaluation of a Chip Seal Surfaced Cement Stabilized Bas Gravel Road) on behalf of McLeod County.
Shimanski moved, Krueger seconded, and motion carried unanimously to enter into an agreement with Acoma and Helen Townships for the removal of snow, and for minor site maintenance activities, around the rural recycling containers located at each township hall.
Wright moved, Pohlmeier seconded, and motion carried unanimously to close the Aluminum Redemption Account on March 1st, 2019.
Krueger moved, Shimanski seconded, and motion carried unanimously to approve an Independent Contractor Professional Service Agreement between County of McLeod, through McLeod Environmental Services Department with Duane Radtke, d/b/a Radtke Sewer Service for 2019 Subsurface Sewage Treatment Systems services with a cos tnot to exceed $24,625.
Nagel moved, Pohlmeier seconded to suspend Conditional Use Permit 15-15 pending review by MPCA and Planning Commissioner review. Nagel moved, Pohlmeier seconded to table motion for two weeks to bring item back to next board meeting on February 19, 2019 to address concerns.
Krueger moved, Pohlmeier seconded and motion carried unanimously to approve Cindy Ford’s performance evaluation summary.
Pohlmeier moved, Shimanski seconded and motion carried unanimously to adjourn the closed meeting at 10:17 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. February 19, 2019 at the Glencoe City Center.
