Several weeks of hard work paid off for four members of the Glencoe-Silver Lake speech team at the recent section competition. The quartet will represent their school at the state meet Friday at Wayzata High School.
Lilly Nikkel, a senior, reached the state meet in informative speaking. Senior Leah Bettcher is headed to state in extemporaneous reading. She’s joined in the category by teammate Anthony LaPlante, a junior. Sophomore Kendra Klobe reached the state meet in creative expression.
